Two sunny days in a row. Amazing. Temperature around 15C. Spring! Although living where I live, spring can last two days and then back to winter. Anyway, I am getting the most of it going to the park at lunchtime. There I sit under a tree -many colleagues have seen me sitting there for a couple of years...now they say the tree has my name on it. I bet nobody would dare take it from me! - and read a book. Lunchtime seems to go by in seconds. What a difference from when it's cold and rainy, it is very miserable then. I would even skip lunchtime, what's the point in going out and getting wet? But for now, it is spring. The park looks beautiful with its fresh new lawn and flowers. The trees still don't have their new leaves - and won't until the end of next month, I guess- but all the same it is beautiful. Squirrels jump from branch to branch and run all over the lawn. People bring peanuts and feed them from their hands. Not surprising then that I went back to the office with peanut shells stuck and hanging from the back of my coat. They must have been scattered under my tree and I sat on them. Very poetic.


Dos dias seguidos con sol. Increible. Temperaturas alrededor de los 15C. Primavera! Aunque viviendo donde vivo, la primavera puede ser que dure dos dias y venga! vuelta al invierno por un par de meses mas. Pero de momento, le estoy sacando el mejor partido a la bonanza, yendo al parque a la hora de comer. Me siento debajo de un arbol -muchos colegas que me han visto alli desde hace un par de anios ya dicen que el arbol lleva mi nombre...dudo que alguien se atreva a ocupar mi sitio!- y leo un libro. La hora de la comida parece que pase en un suspiro. Que diferencia a cuando hace frio y llueve, todo es tan triste entonces. Incluso me saltaria la hora de la comida, si hace mal tiempo, porque no da para mucho, salir a la calle y mojarse. Pero volviendo al presente, es primavera. Aunque solo sea por dos dias. El parque esta precioso, con el nuevo cesped verde refrescante y las flores recien plantadas. Los arboles aun no han sacado sus nuevas hojas - ni lo haran hasta el mes que viene, supongo- pero que mas da, se ven ardillas saltando ensus ramas y correteando por el cesped. La gente les da cacahuetes y comen de la mano. No es de extraniar, pues, que haya vuelto a trabajar con cascaras de cacahuetes colgando de la parte posterior de mi abrigo. Estaban desperdigados debajo de mi arbol y me sente encima. Que poetico.
