After postponing it for several days, (right, I'll admit it, weeks! because we are sooo lazy!) today I have started searching for an hotel in New Orleans. You know the routine : checking in opodo, expedia, kellkoo, cheapholidays, cheaphotels and so on...I bet I've visited every possible travel website! And as usual, one doesn't get all the hotels in one website, the same hotels have different prices from one website to the other...boring, boring, boring. And then...miracle! I found a great website for hotels in New Orleans. It is Experience New Orleans. It has a very complete list of hotels with access to the hotel's websites but the difference here is that availability and prices are checked using the same simple search tool. Only dates and room numbers are required, becoming, after a while, an automatic and fast action, so I checked all the prices in all the hotels. I have now printed the main list of hotels and got the price for each of them. I had to use a convertor, so I used the very useful XE convertor, always in my Favourites list because I am constantly using it. Later on in the day Slippery Kitten and I will book the hotel, preferably in the French Quarter with a courtyard view. A shame it will be too late for the Jazz Festival, though!

Despues de posponerlo durante varios dias (bueno, lo admito, semanas! es que somos tan holgazanes!) hoy he empezado a buscar hotel en New Orleans. La misma aburrida rutina de siempre para la busqueda: mirar en opodo, expedia, kellkoo, cheapholidays, cheaphotels.....no me conteis, si hay una pagina web de busqueda de hoteles y viajes, yo la he visitado. Y como es habitual, no se encuentran todos los hoteles en una web, los hoteles tienen diferentes precios en las diferentes websites, te pasas el dia comparando....que aburrimiento! Y entonces....milagro! Encontre la pagina perfecta para visitantes de New Orleans : Experience New Orleans. Tiene una completisima lista de hoteles en NO, con acceso a la pagina web del hotel pero la diferencia es que comprobar los precios y la disponibilidad de plazas se hace en todos los hoteles con el mismo sencillo sistema de dar la fecha y la cantidad de habitaciones, sin mas complicaciones. Como es siempre igual, la tarea se convierte en automatica y se lleva a cabo con gran rapidez. Ahora ya tengo la lista de hoteles en papel, con todos los precios para mis fechas al lado. Para la conversion de precios uso el utilisimo XE convertor, que tengo siempre en mi listado de Favoritos porque no hay dia en que no lo use. Esta noche haremos repaso a la lista, Slippery Kitten y yo, para elegir un hotel, preferiblemente en el French Quarter y con vistas al patio/jardin. Lastima que llegaremos a New Orleans justo cuando el Festival de Jazz ya haya terminado...
