A work colleague told me tomorrow he is going to Manchester. He added Manchester must be the worst city in the world. Obviously, that was an exaggeration. But is there a list of 'best' and 'worst' cities of the world? Who does that ? The answer came immediately : The Economist does(I should have imagined that). And from their last list in September 2004, as The Guardian reported, I can now reveal that the Worst City in the World is (again) Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea. The Best City in the World is Melbourne in Australia.
I've never been in Port Moresby. SD was there several years ago for work reasons and could not see much of the place..because work colleagues advised avoiding visits to the place and limit contact with the outside world to taxi trips from the hotel to the office and from the office to the hotel. Both of us have been to Melbourne, though. It was nice. But I think I'd rather live in Sydney . Or much better, Auckland in New Zealand!
The Economist, como no!).
