The prestigious Restaurant Magazine unveils the 2005 list of "50 Best Restaurants of the World" . It is worth noting that 14 out of 50 are British restaurants. Which is very remarkable as British food is known by everybody as 'simply horrid'! So how can we explain this 14 out of 5? Ah...well. Some of the wealthiest people in the world happen to live in London. Arab Sheiks, Russian capitalists and Chinese businessmen have made London their home. They will pay anything for the best. It is then VERY easy to attract top chefs to London restaurants. What the UK really needs is more middle of the road restaurants with aspirations to cook good food with healthy ingredients, instead of all these greasy fish & chips greasy corner shops, unpalatable curry take-aways and McDonalds where the British population eats day in day out.


La prestigiosa revista Restaurant Magazine desvela la lista para el 2005 de los "50 Mejor Restaurantes del Mundo" . Hay que hacer notar que 14 de los 50 son britanicos. Lo cual es muy remarcable, ya que la 'cocina' britanica es conocida mundialmente por ser ...horrenda, y por que no decirlo, inexistente! Asi que..como explicamos estos 14 de 50? Facil. Mucha gente de lo mas adinerado del planeta vive en Londres. Es el nuevo hogar para Jeques arabes, capitalistas rusos, empresarios chinos... Y estos pagan burradas por comer bien. Asi es bien facil atraer a los mejores chefs a un puniado de elitistas restaurantes londineses. Pero lo que el Reino Unido realmente necesita son mas restaurantes normalitos con comida decente para gente con sueldos medios. Basta ya de grasientas tiendas vendiendo fish & chips (patatas y pescado frito), currys que no se sabe ni lo que contienen para llevar a casa y McDonalds, que es lo que come la mayoria de la poblacion.
